In the early morning hours of Sunday, a state trooper arrested 27-year old Machelle Dowell of Galt for the alleged possession of a controlled substance. The Highway Patrol described injuries as MODERATE for 64 year old William Rider and 67 year old Carolyn Rider (both of Humphreys), after a motorcycle crash on Wednesday evening. Both were taken by medical helicopter to Truman Medical Center.
A single vehicle accident on Tuesday afternoon, three miles to the west of Pattonsburg, injured a driver from McFall. The Highway Patrol said injuries were minor to 18-year old Jacob Lichliter of McFall. He was taken by ambulance to Cameron Regional Medical Center.

A Gallatin resident was injured on Saturday night when the car he was driving went off Highway 13 north of Hamilton and overturned several times, throwing him from the vehicle. Nineteen year old Lance Rodkey was taken to Cameron Regional Medical Center, with injuries that the Highway Patrol described as SERIOUS.
The Daviess County Commission, on Monday morning, announced the lifting of the summer-long burn ban. Again, outdoor burning had been prohibited across Daviess County this summer due to the dry conditions. As of Monday morning, the Daviess County Commission has LIFTED the ban on outdoor burning.
