The Highway Patrol says two Gallatin residents were injured on Saturday night northwest of Hamilton when a motorcycle overturned after hitting an owl. The Patrol said the owl had flown from a location "up the road".
Chillicothe High School had momentum with dominating wins at #1 and #2 singles, but it was the depth of the Trenton Lady Bulldog tennis program that provided the difference, as THS downed CHS 6-3 in a varsity head-to-head duel on Thursday afternoon at Trenton High School.

Sheriff Rodney Herring said Grundy County received multiple 9-1-1 phone calls at 1 o'clock regarding a shooting at a home in Galt. Sheriff Herring identified the victim as 32 year old Christopher Molloy: a resident of the home at 200 North Main that he shared with 37 year old Stephanie Miller.
Two vehicles collided east of King City on Sunday afternoon, sending one person to Northwest Medical Center in Albany. The Highway Patrol said 21 year old Danielle Stitt of McFall received minor injuries, and was taken to the Albany hospital.

A 34-year old rural Galt man, Patrick Courtney, has been charged in Grundy County with first degree murder in the death of 32-year old Christopher Molloy of Galt, by shooting him after deliberation. Courtney is being held in the Grundy County Detention Center without bond. He is to appear Tuesday in Associate Division of Grundy County Circuit Court.
A Trenton man is in jail after being arrested yesterday on multiple charges stemming from incidents Sunday. Thirty-nine year old Jason Dean Crouse of 600 Normal faces charges of unlawful use of a weapon as well as misdemeanor domestic assault and property damage in the second degree.
