It was a tale of two halves on Monday night when the Trenton JV Bulldogs hosted Pembroke Hill at C.F. Russell Stadium. The Raiders took the opening kickoff and marched down the field, scoring just 90 seconds into the first quarter. The two point PAT made it Pembroke Hill 8, Trenton 0 early in the contest.

KTTN/KGOZ Sports : THS girls golf finishes second at Kirksville Tournament

The Trenton High School girl's golf team finished runner-up to the host Kirksville Lady Tigers on Monday, in the annual Kirksville Invitational Tournament. The Lady Bulldogs, buoyed by the strength of three golfers in the top 10 individually, shot 422, while KHS shot 411, led by individual medalist Ellie Dublin's round of 95.

KTTN/KGOZ News : Autopsy rules that carbon monoxide killed three in Cameron fire

Cameron law enforcement officials report that autopsies conducted on Robert Borchardt and his two children, Tucker and Chelsey, found that all three died last month of "carbon monoxide saturation", caused by fire within their residence.

Grundy Electric Cooperative, headquartered in Trenton, has been approved for $5,000,000 in federal loan guarantees to build and improve 18 miles of distribution line, and make other system improvements to serve 332 consumers. The loan amount includes $703,000 in "Smart Grid" projects.

Comfort Inn and Suites of Chillicothe will hold a Five Kilometer run and walk in early November to benefit a family readiness group for the Army National Guard unit in Chillicothe. There is also a one mile "Fun Run" for children ages 14 and younger.

The Highway Patrol says two Gallatin residents were injured on Saturday night northwest of Hamilton when a motorcycle overturned after hitting an owl. The Patrol said the owl had flown from a location "up the road".

The Trenton High School girls tennis team whipped up on Carrollton on Monday night, with the varsity winning all nine matches played against the Lady Trojans, with six of those matches claimed in a 8-love sweep. The Sullivan County Relay for Life raised nearly $13,000 for the American Cancer Society. The main activities for the 2012 event were held Saturday afternoon and evening on the Milan Square. Thirty-three cancer survivors participated in the opening lap.

Automobile Accidents : Accident east of King City sends McFall woman to the hospital

Two vehicles collided east of King City on Sunday afternoon, sending one person to Northwest Medical Center in Albany. The Highway Patrol said 21 year old Danielle Stitt of McFall received minor injuries, and was taken to the Albany hospital.
