On U.S. Highway 69, 1 1/2 miles north of Cameron, a woman and two young children received what the Highway Patrol called minor injuries when their van went out of control, left the roadway, then struck a tree and an embankment.

An accident one mile south of Milan has injured 33-year old Vincent Miller of Green Castle. The Highway Patrol described Miller's injuries as minor. He was taken to Sullivan County Memorial Hospital in Milan for treatment.

Road Work Ahead : I-35 work begins between Winston and Pattonsburg

Multi-week road projects were scheduled to begin on Wednesday across the area. That includes Interstate 35 in Daviess County, between Winston and Pattonsburg. MoDOT said crews will be cutting large holes in the concrete and pouring new concrete in those areas.

Livingston County Prosecutor Adam Warren, who also is the Chillicothe City Prosecutor, has been given added duties as Grundy County Special Prosecutor. Circuit Judge Jack Peace has appointed the 33-year old Warren to serve as Grundy County's Special Prosecutor until Governor Nixon appoints someone to fill the position.
