Gallatin City Administrator Zac Joihnson told the Gallatin City Council on Monday night that the city is "short-handed" on employees, and has new personnel plowing streets. Johnson said it takes time to learn the technique, and may take longer than normal to clear streets. He added the city is "doing the best it can at this time". |

The North Central Missouri College women's basketball team won a first round Region 16 playoff game yesterday (Saturday) afternoon at the Ketcham Community Center, 100-75 against the Wentworth Red Dragons. The win sends the Lady Pirates into next weekend's Region 16 semifinals in Sedalia, while the Dragons end their season with a record of 5-23. NCMC is 15-14 with a home game on Tuesday night at 5:30 against John Wood to end the regular season. |

The United States Attorney for the Western District of Missouri has announced that a Brookfield man was indicted by a federal grand jury for attempting to produce child pornography. Forty-six year old Edward Allen Stieber, formerly of Trenton, was charged in a two-count indictment returned by the federal grand jury in Kansas City. |

Automobile Accidents : Winston woman injured in Platte County accident

Winston and St. Joseph residents were hurt when a car overturned off Interstate 29 north of Platte City. The driver, 25-year old Miles Reid of St. Joseph, and passenger, 32-year old Teresa Lee of Winston, were taken to Heartland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph, with injuries described as minor by the Highway Patrol. |

KTTN/KGOZ Weather : MO severe weather drill scheduled for March 5th

The annual Missouri severe weather drill is scheduled for 1:30 PM on Tuesday, March 5th. As in the past, a tornado warning TEST will be issued across the state. If the weather is inclement on March 5th, the test will be postponed until Thursday, March 7th. |

Hamilton Municipal Court scheduled for Wednesday afternoon at 4 o'clock was cancelled. People that were scheduled to be in Hamilton Municipal Court should attend the April 17th session at 4 o'clock. Municipal court is held EVERY OTHER month at Hamilton. |

Automobile Accidents : Two teenage girls injured in weekend accident

Two teenagers were injured in an accident on Sunday afternoon about five miles southeast of Stanberry. The Highway Patrol said the driver, 18-year old Bethany Ruoff of Savannah, received SERIOUS injuries and was taken my helicopter to an unspecified "city hospital". A passenger, 18-year old Shelby Schultz, suffered MODERATE injuries. She was taken to Northwest Medical Center in Albany. |

The Stanberry Bulldogs won 19 games through the season on the strength of their defense. On Friday night, victory #20 came to the Bulldogs in the same fashion, with Stanberry holding down a potent North Mercer offense through four quarters and overtime and escaping Worth County High School with a 50-48 win, sending them to the Class 1 state playoffs on Tuesday night at Bearcat Arena in Maryville. |

The Trenton boys played their best offensive half of the season on Tuesday night, scoring 42 points in leading the fourth-seeded Lawson Cardinals 42-40 at the half. Unfortunately for Trenton, the Bulldogs slumped in the third quarter, outscored 21-7, and the "Black and Gold", despite a fourth quarter rally, fell short in a 79-66 final from Bishop LeBlond High School. Tuesday night's game was broadcast on Hot Country Z 101.7 and www.kgozfm.com. |
