The Missouri Highway Patrol says three Richmond residents have been charged in connection with the death of 40-year old Michelle Rheuport of Richmond. She was found dead in her residence by a family member on Wednesday morning, May 23rd.

The American Legion Post 25 Cardinals, on Wednesday night, beat Millhouse by a score of 4-1. Post 25 scored four runs in the bottom of the fifth to take the lead. Millhouse scored in the top of the seventh for their only run in the game.

Eight additional swimming beaches open today (Friday) at Missouri State Parks, including Thousand Hills State Park near Kirksville. Crowder State Park west of Trenton is considered a "swim at your own risk" lake, and already is available for swimming.

The featured speaker for next week’s awards banquet of the Lions All-Stars Basketball Classic is no stranger to the basketball court or to the Lions organization. Cori Elms graduated from Cameron High School in 1993 and that same year, she was selected to play in the Lions All-Star Basketball Classic. She not only played in that game, but her two free throws were the deciding factor in her team’s victory.

U.S. Rural Development says it has grants available to repair home of qualifying individuals. The repairs include (but are not limited to) repairing and replacing roofs, heating, air conditioning, electrical, and plumbing systems; water and waste disposal; windows; and insulation. Grants may also be used to make the dwelling accessible to a family member with disabilities.

Automobile Accidents : Tuesday morning wreck injures Green City teen

A teenage girl from Green City was injured when thrown from her car in a Linn County traffic accident on Tuesday. The Highway Patrol described injuries as SERIOUS for 16 year old Ashley Lewis. She was flown by medical helicopter to Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City.

Automobile Accidents : Putnam County accident injures two

Two persons were injured when two vehicles collided Sunday night in eastern Putnam county. Taken to Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville with MODERATE injuries was 45 year old Charlotte Cain of Unionville. The driver of the second vehicle, 52 year old Cheryl Ridinger of Worthington refused treatment at the scene.
