A man from Unionville was injured late Wednesday morning when an all-terrain vehicle he was operating overturned north of Unionville. Forty-one year old Derrek Gilworth was flown by medical helicopter to University Hospital in Columbia, with injuries described as SERIOUS by the Highway Patrol.

Conditions were sunny, warm and windy when the Five Points flagpole dedication was held late Monday morning in downtown Trenton. Toward the end of the thirty minute ceremony was the raising of a large U-S flag to the top of the pole.

Two all-terrain vehicles collided on Sunday afternoon eight miles west of Princeton, injuring three people. The Highway Patrol described injuries as SERIOUS for 22 year old Lacey Edwards of Hamilton, who was flown by medical helicopter to North Kansas City Hospital. She was a passenger on an ATV driven by 22 year old John Whitsell of Clarksdale.

Although it is still five months away, the Trenton Rotary Club is announcing that they are accepting entries for the annual Missouri Day Festival parade. Eighty-one standout athletes have converged on North Central Missouri College in Trenton for the 2012 Lions All-Star Basketball Classic tonight and tomorrow (June 1st and 2nd). Four girls teams and four boys teams representing Lions Clubs from across northern Missouri will meet for a day of practice, tonight's awards banquet, and a total of eight games where an eventual champion will be crowned.

KTTN/KGOZ News : Grundy County's Relay For Life scheduled for Saturday

The fund raising goal is 30 thousand dollars for Saturday's Relay for Life events in Grundy County. It is the annual benefit for the American Cancer Society. Eleven (11) teams will be setting up outdoors on the Trenton High and Middle School campus. The theme this year is a “Rainbow of Hope.” The 12 hour event begins at 12 noon on Saturday.
