Tyrell Thirkield, son of Denita Elmore of Higginsville, has signed a letter of intent to play basketball for the Pirates at North Central Missouri College in Trenton next fall. He joins recruit Jory Woodson of the St. Louis area in the guard position.

Automobile Accidents : Caldwell County wreck injures Chillicothe man

A Chillicothe man was injured Sunday night in an accident one mile west of Polo. The Highway patrol reports 24-year old Michael Smith received minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to Cameron Regional Medical Center.

Automobile Accidents : Wednesday morning accident injures Cameron teen

A Cameron resident was hurt on Wednesday morning when the car she was driving traveled off a road north of Cameron, hit a metal post, and overturned. Seventeen-year old Brittany Jones was taken to Cameron Regional Medical Center, with what the Highway Patrol called MODERATE injuries.
