Tyrell Thirkield, son of Denita Elmore of Higginsville, has signed a letter of intent to play basketball for the Pirates at North Central Missouri College in Trenton next fall. He joins recruit Jory Woodson of the St. Louis area in the guard position.

The village of Jameson has scheduled another fundraiser to help pay for basic community needs. Jameson has had a village Christmas store the past three years. This year, the community will be adding a spring luncheon and fashion show on the afternoon of May 4th at 12:30.

A Chillicothe man was injured Sunday night in an accident one mile west of Polo. The Highway patrol reports 24-year old Michael Smith received minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to Cameron Regional Medical Center.

SEDALIA—State Fair Community College has hired Dr. Joanna Anderson as the fifth president in its 45-year history.

The next performance in the season series sponsored by the Chillicothe Area Arts Council features the Bluestem Cowboy Band. The performance begins at 3 o'clock on Sunday (April 28th) in the Gary Dickinson Performing Arts Center in Chillicothe.

A Meadville High School student, Jessica Triplett, is among 16 seniors in Missouri receiving an "Outstanding Achievement in Citizenship" award for this year. The recognition was given by the Missouri State Board of Education and the Missouri Bar.

A former elementary principal in the South Harrison School District, Dana Seymour, has been employed by the Princeton School District as its high school principal for next school year.

A Cameron resident was hurt on Wednesday morning when the car she was driving traveled off a road north of Cameron, hit a metal post, and overturned. Seventeen-year old Brittany Jones was taken to Cameron Regional Medical Center, with what the Highway Patrol called MODERATE injuries.

Members of the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant in the 800 block of Cherry Street in Mooresville that resulted in two persons being arrested regarding an investigation of alleged Animal Neglect.

Five people received what the Highway Patrol called minor injuries in a two-vehicle accident just after the noon hour on Sunday in Princeton. All five injured were in a mini-van driven by 30-year old Dana Baker of Trenton.
