The North Daviess Junior High is holding a talent show as a fundraiser tonight (Friday night) in Jameson. People who can sing, dance, tell jokes, or have another talent are being encouraged to participate. The school says the act, costume, and music must be school-appropriate. The entry fee is $5.00.

A Chillicothe area community choir is being organized to perform Christmas music on December 16th. Adult and high school singers from around the area are being encouraged to participate. The program is the afternoon of December 16th at 3 o'clock at the Gary Dickinson Performing Arts Center. It is part of the Chillicothe Area Art Council's season.

KTTN/KGOZ News : Fall enrollment down slightly at North Central Missouri College

Although still subject to 'final review', fall enrollment appears to be down slightly at North Central Missouri College in Trenton. However, enrollment is still up considerably when compared to five years ago (2007). Figures on student enrollment were provided by college officials this week, with President Neil Nuttall noting that preliminary indicators are showing a 'level' enrollment overall.

Grundy County United Way holds its annual pancake feed on Saturday, October 13th. It is eat and pay what you want for the pancakes, sausage, juice, and milk. Serving is the morning of October 13th from 7 to 10 o'clock at the Trenton Hy-Vee. The pancake feed is a kickoff for the new fundraising year.

The Trenton High School girls tennis team whipped up on Carrollton on Monday night, with the varsity winning all nine matches played against the Lady Trojans, with six of those matches claimed in a 8-love sweep. Chillicothe FFA members, as a fundraiser for their chapter, are available to do various jobs at home and farms. People with any type of job are being asked to contact a Chillicothe FFA member, or one of the advisors at the Litton Agriculture Campus. Teams will be organized to do the work. The Chillicothe High School class averaging the most money raised, per member, will have its barnwarming candidates crowned king and queen.

It was a tale of two halves on Monday night when the Trenton JV Bulldogs hosted Pembroke Hill at C.F. Russell Stadium. The Raiders took the opening kickoff and marched down the field, scoring just 90 seconds into the first quarter. The two point PAT made it Pembroke Hill 8, Trenton 0 early in the contest.

The Trenton High School girl's golf team finished runner-up to the host Kirksville Lady Tigers on Monday, in the annual Kirksville Invitational Tournament. The Lady Bulldogs, buoyed by the strength of three golfers in the top 10 individually, shot 422, while KHS shot 411, led by individual medalist Ellie Dublin's round of 95.

Cameron law enforcement officials report that autopsies conducted on Robert Borchardt and his two children, Tucker and Chelsey, found that all three died last month of "carbon monoxide saturation", caused by fire within their residence.
