Among judging results at the national F-F-A Convention in Indianapolis, Princeton FFA Chapter had a team placed seventh in the country in evaluating livestock. Princeton had won first place in livestock judging during Missouri's FFA convention—thus qualifying the team for the national career development event.

A Gilman City resident, 70-year old James Wilson, received what the Highway Patrol called minor injuries in an accident on Monday morning in Bethany. The collision, on U.S. Highway 136, involved a South Harrison School District bus and a tractor-trailer. Wilson was taken by private vehicle to Harrison County Community Hospital in Bethany.

At its October 19th meeting in Springfield, the Missouri Conservation Commission approved issuing special no-cost “CWD Management Seals” to landowners in the core area where Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) has been detected in Linn and Macon counties.
