Automobile Accidents : I-35 U-Haul accident injures Cameron man

A Cameron man was injured late Saturday morning when a car hit the rear of a northbound U-Haul trailer on Interstate 35 near Winston. Thirty-four year old Timothy Malone of Cameron was taken to Cameron Regional Medical Center, with injuries described as MODERATE by the Highway Patrol. |

Automobile Accidents : Grant City house damaged after being hit by a van

The Highway Patrol says a van hit a house in Grant City on Friday afternoon, after the driver suffered a medical condition. The driver, 35-year old Melissa Moutray of Grant City, was taken to St. Francis Hospital in Maryville, with what the Patrol described as MODERATE injuries. No one else was hurt. |

The Trenton High School wrestling team placed fourth out of nine schools involved in Saturday's Butler High School Invitational. Athletes were divided into pools, with first place finishers from one pool meeting and first place finisher from the other pool. Second place finishers from each pool met, and so on, depending on pool placement. |

In a women's basketball game that saw North Central Missouri College trail for the first 39 minutes plus of regulation, the Lady Pirates got a game-winning jump shot from freshman Samone Redditt with 45.6 seconds remaining and were able to hold on for a 65-63 victory against the visiting Moberly Greyhounds. |

Multiple news agencies, including ESPN, are now reporting that former Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid has reached an agreement to become the next head coach of the Kansas City Chiefs, with contract terms being finalized and reviewed by attorneys for each side. |

The Trenton Lady Bulldogs won for the 10th time this season, riding a 26 point, 19 rebound effort from senior Avery Whitaker to a 60-46 victory against the visiting Brookfield Lady Dogs. Whitaker's play boosted a THS squad that had its depth challenged by foul trouble from double-double machine Mikaila Capeder, who was held to four points and fouled out with three minutes to play. |

The auditions for the Missoula Children's Theatre (MCT) production of "Blackbeard the Pirate" will be held this (Monday) afternoon from 4 to 6 o'clock at the Gary Dickinson Performing Arts Center at 2801 Hornet Road in Chillicothe. There are roles for students in Kindergarten through the 12th grade. |

Effective on Tuesday, January 8th, and going through Tuesday, February 26th, the Driver's Examination Station in Gallatin will be relocated temporarily. The temporary new location will be the Daviess County Library at 306 Grand Street in Gallatin. Testing hours will be from 9 o'clock to 12 noon and 1 o'clock to 4 o'clock in the afternoons. |

Maysville High School guard Skyler Zimmerman banked in a three point shot at the fourth quarter buzzer on Friday night, giving the visiting Wolverines a 60-59 victory over the Princeton Tigers, in the back-end of a Grand River Conference doubleheader broadcast on KTTN FM 92.3. |

Weather-wise, 2012 will be most remembered for drought—a lack of rain and some very hot summer temperatures. Trenton statistics demonstrate the year was unique—the least amount of precipitation in the last 25 years at Trenton. Twenty-two different dates saw daytime high temperatures climbing above 100 degrees.
