Automobile Accidents : Truck overturns, injures Kidder man

A Kidder man was injured when the truck he was driving overturned northeast of Kearney on Wednesday morning. The Highway Patrol said 53-year old Tony Johnson of Kidder was taken to a Kansas City area hospital with SERIOUS injuries.

Automobile Accidents : Two-vehicle accident east of Chillicothe injures both drivers

Drivers of two vehicles were injured in an accident early on Tuesday afternoon three miles east of Chillicothe. The Highway Patrol described injuries as minor for 33-year old Lindsey Cranmer of Chillicothe and 22-year old Morgan Ireland of Dawn. Both were taken to Hedrick Medical Center in Chillicothe.

Automobile Accidents : Randolph County accident injures Marceline residents

Two people from Marceline were injured on Wednesday night in a traffic accident three miles south of Moberly in Randolph County. As a result of the accident, blamed on ICY road conditions, 44-year old George Bailey and 38-year old Jennifer Bailey were taken to Moberly Regional Medical Center, with MODERATE injuries for GEORGE Bailey and minor injuries for Jennifer Bailey.

Automobile Accidents : Winston woman injured in Platte County accident

Winston and St. Joseph residents were hurt when a car overturned off Interstate 29 north of Platte City. The driver, 25-year old Miles Reid of St. Joseph, and passenger, 32-year old Teresa Lee of Winston, were taken to Heartland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph, with injuries described as minor by the Highway Patrol.

KTTN/KGOZ Weather : MO severe weather drill scheduled for March 5th

The annual Missouri severe weather drill is scheduled for 1:30 PM on Tuesday, March 5th. As in the past, a tornado warning TEST will be issued across the state. If the weather is inclement on March 5th, the test will be postponed until Thursday, March 7th.

The Livingston County Sheriff's Department reports a suspect was taken into custody after a short standoff at a residence near Dawn. Forty-year old Jeffrey Griffith of St. Joseph was wanted on THREE warrants. Those involve Resisting Arrest during an incident in February in Platte County, an Assault in Buchanan County, and Failure to Appear in Court in St. Joseph.

A Cameron teenager was injured on Monday afternoon when, according to the Highway Patrol, he apparently drove his car into the side of a tractor-trailer unit one mile west of Cameron. Eighteen year old Kyle Hargrave received SERIOUS injuries.

Gallatin City Administrator Zac Joihnson told the Gallatin City Council on Monday night that the city is "short-handed" on employees, and has new personnel plowing streets. Johnson said it takes time to learn the technique, and may take longer than normal to clear streets. He added the city is "doing the best it can at this time".
