A Braymer resident was hurt when the sport utility vehicle he was driving traveled off a road in Braymer and hit a culvert. Thirty-two year old Robert Burns was taken by private vehicle to Hedrick Medical Center in Chillicothe, with injuries described as MODERATE by the Highway Patrol. |

Automobile Accidents : I-35 truck collision injures Wisconsin man

A Wisconsin resident was injured in a Monday morning accident that closed a portion of northbound Interstate 35 for nearly two hours. The Highway Patrol described injuries as minor for 34-year old Luis DeLeon of Fitchburg, Wisconsin. He was taken by ambulance to Cameron Regional Medical Center. |

The Trenton School District is scheduled to receive television coverage after THS was selected as the first "Army Strong Star School" in the Kansas City region. A production crew from KCTV5-KSMO TV was at THS on Wednesday to attend a pep assembly and interview students and staff. |

A teenage girl from Stanberry was injured late Thursday night when she swerved her car to miss an object on Gentry County Route B, drove off the road, and overturned coming to rest upright. It happened four miles north of Stanberry. |

A single vehicle accident just east of Green Castle on Monday afternoon injured a man from Novinger. The Highway Patrol said 62-year old Phil Ruggles received MODERATE injuries and was taken by ambulance to Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville. |

Anyone in the Trenton area interested in playing on a Trenton little league team in the Harrison County League, headquartered in Bethany, needs to sign up their children THIS WEEK. These teams will practice in Trenton with home games in Trenton. Sign-up sheets are available at area schools and at the Trenton Main Stop convenience store and may be returned to either location. The deadline is FRIDAY, March 15th, 2013. |

Playing their first two games of a spring break road trip to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, the North Central Missouri College baseball team split a pair of hard-fought, low-scoring games over the weekend. The Pirates beat Salem Community College 3-1, but fell in a 13 inning marathon to Lakeland Comunity College, 4-3. |

The Livingston County Sheriff's Department has been receiving several complaints from area residents of 'being harassed' by telephone, from scammers claiming to be from the United States and assuring their targets that they have won 'large sums of money'. |

High schools from across northern Missouri were represented in Trenton on Thursday when North Central Missouri College hosted 11 agriculture judging contests. Among high ranking results featuring area schools, Princeton took first place in meats, fourth in soils, fifth place in poultry, and fifth in nursery-landscape. Individually, Drew Cox was first and Thomas Mallinson second in meats, Devin Purvis placed first in soils, and Jessica Alderson was fourth in nursery-landscape. |

Road Work Ahead : Highway 129 in Linn County scheduled for work

The Missouri Department of Transportation plans to resurface Highway 129 in Bucklin this year. The project will include removing and replacing pavement, approaches, and sidewalks between Washington Street and West Third Street. |

Automobile Accidents : Two car collision in Trenton injures one

Two cars collided late Monday afternoon at 28th Street and Highway 65 in Trenton with one driver taken to Wright Memorial Hospital for treatment. Trenton Police says that 55-year old Linda Hodges of rural Mercer was taken to Wright Memorial, with injuries to her neck and shoulder. |

The North Central Missouri College baseball team is five games deep into their spring break trip to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and, to this point, the Pirates are finding good success, winning three games and losing two. In all FIVE games, NCMC has out-hit it opponent, and both losses were only by one run, including a 13-inning defeat on Sunday. Head coach Donnie Hillerman says his team is 'playing solid baseball'. |
