Two persons were injured when two vehicles collided Sunday night in eastern Putnam county. Taken to Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville with MODERATE injuries was 45 year old Charlotte Cain of Unionville. The driver of the second vehicle, 52 year old Cheryl Ridinger of Worthington refused treatment at the scene.
Various road projects are planned this week for crews of the Missouri department of transportation. Mowing along U-S Highway 65 is scheduled at various locations this week in Livingston, Grundy, and Mercer Counties. Mowing also is listed along various locations on State Highway 6 in Grundy County this week.

A Cameron man was hurt when the motorcycle he was operating overturned on a road west of Altamont. Thirty-five year old William Roe of Cameron was taken by private vehicle to Cameron Regional Medical Center. He received what the Highway Patrol called MODERATE injuries.
The top academic students at South Harrison High School in Bethany are Valedictorian Sarah Keck and Salutatorian Cole Osborne. Graduation ceremonies were held on Sunday afternoon at Bethany and Gilman City. Top academic students in the senior class at Gilman City are Mason Ward as Valedictorian and Brennon Carey as Salutatorian.

One person was injured in a two-vehicle accident on Tuesday evening six miles south of Trenton. The Highway Patrol described injuries as minor for 23 year old Sarah Lowrey of Chula. She was taken by ambulance to Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton.

The North Central Missouri College Foundation has announced the establishment of athletic scholarships in memory of Mark and Rebekah Whiteaker, former Trenton residents. The $10,000 contribution will allow for four $500 scholarships each year, beginning with the 2012-2013 academic year.

A single vehicle accident on Monday afternoon injured a Winston man. At a location five miles northwest of Gallatin, the Highway Patrol reported that a tanker truck driven by 39-year old John Finton of Winston traveled off Route DD while negotiating a curve.
A Jamesport resident was hurt when the car she was driving hit the rear of a tractor-trailer unit on Highway 36 west of Cameron. Fifty-nine year old Carolyn Huston of Jamesport was taken by private vehicle to Cameron Regional Medical Center, with injuries described as minor by the Highway Patrol.
