The Chillicothe Police Department says that four teenage boys have been arrested following a weekend "crime spree" that saw numerous motor vehicles being entered illegally. Missouri Secretary of State Robin Carnahan has announced that the Daviess County Library in Gallatin has received a Website Makeover Grant worth $4,707. The library will use grant money to completely overhaul its website, including the addition of a mobile site, to improve presence on the Web.

Automobile Accidents : Highway 36 collision injures eastern Kansas man

A man from Shawnee, Kansas was injured in Caldwell County when the westbound SUV he was driving was hit in the rear on Highway 36, crossed the median and the eastbound lanes, and overturned. Fifty-three year old Mark Specklin was taken to Cameron Regional Medical Center with injuries described as minor by the Highway Patrol.

KTTN/KGOZ Sports : Gooseberry Festival hosts 5k and 10k events on Saturday

There were 144 participants in the Gooseberry Festival's Five and Ten Kilometer run and walk on Saturday morning in Trenton. Roberto Garcia of Trenton was the overall winner in the 10K run with a time of 37:51. He competed in the men's ages 20 to 25 division.

Plans have been made for the Tractor Cruise scheduled as part of the activities for the Independence Day celebration next month in Princeton. Rhonda Watkins reported to the Princeton Chamber of Commerce that the group will leave Princeton at 1 o‘clock on Wednesday, July 4th and go to Lineville, before returning to eat at the Mercer County Courthouse.
