A Wheeling man died Wednesday morning in a private property accident in rural Livingston County. The highway patrol listed the victim as 33 year old Patrick Kinsella of Wheeling. The Livingston County Sheriff's Department reports that investigation has determined that in addition to the death, authorities are focusing on who might have been present at the time.

A Laredo woman was injured this (Wednesday) morning in a rollover accident six miles west of Chillicothe.

Two incumbents won re-nominations in contested races, two others lost Tuesday night as results filtered in from the Republican Primary election in Grundy County. The city of Trenton's sales tax issue lost by the narrowest of margins. It was a high voter turnout for a primary election – 46 percent.

A woman arrested in Milan earlier this year is facing multiple charges following the death of her newborn baby more than ten years ago.

It was nine years ago on August 1st when St. Luke's Health System began operating Hedrick Medical Center. On the anniversary of that agreement, St. Luke's and the city of Chillicothe held a ceremonial ground-breaking to commemorate the start of construction for a new hospital and doctor's building off the southeast corner of Highway 65 and Mohawk Road.

Gallatin Police have arrested 26 year old Jonathan Ray Lee Parker of Gallatin on multiple charges following investigation into an alleged child abduction incident on Wednesday morning in Gallatin.

Authorities are investigating a bank robbery that occurred this (Wednesday) afternoon at Jamesport. The incident happened about 2 o'clock at the Home Exchange Bank.

A portion of the Mercer County Public Water Supply District Number One is under a precautionary boil advisory. Repairs have been completed to a water main break west of Princeton.

The village of Jameson has been added to communities with bans on open burning. Spokesman Jared Hogan of the Jameson Fire Protection District noted the burn ban coincides with one issued by the Daviess County Commission for all areas of that county. It was issued because of the continued extremely dry ground conditions and lack of significant rain. The ban on outdoor burning at Jameson will be in effect until further notice.

As of this morning (August 3rd) the Stacy Center pool at Princeton will be closed until further notice due to water restrictions in the city of Princeton. Ketcham Community Center at Trenton announces closing dates for routine maintenance.

A Milan couple and two young children were injured last night when their sport utility vehicle traveled off State Highway 6 east of Milan and overturned. The Highway Patrol described injuries as serious for all four occupants.

A Bucklin youth was fatally injured, and two other people were hurt, in the near head-on collision of two vehicles west of Marceline. Seventeen year old Zachary Cupp of Bucklin was pronounced dead early Thursday morning at University Hospital in Columbia, about 4 1/2 hours after the accident. Cupp was the driver of one of the cars involved.

Chris Green, an NCMC graduate, was offered a minor league baseball contract by the Baltimore Orioles earlier this week.  After his graduation from NCMC in 2009, Green transferred to Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville where he pitched two seasons for the Bearcats.

Senator Claire McCaskill of Missouri is hopeful something can be done to help Lauren Gray of Trenton regarding the soon-to-be 21-year old's residency status. Lauren, her mother Ali Gray, and a friend of Lauren's, Shelby Muff of Trenton, met with Senator McCaskill on Tuesday in Washington, DC. The Gray family is seeking the ability for Lauren Gray to legally remain in the U.S. when she turns 21 next Wednesday, August 8th.
