Volunteer efforts by three fire departments raised money locally for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Members of the Trenton Fire Department, Grundy County Rural Fire Protection District, and the Galt Fire Department conducted the annual “Boot Drive” this past weekend in Trenton. |

Members of the North Central Missouri College Psychology and Sociology Club are organizing a trip to Italy, which is set for May 17th to May 28th, 2013. All members of the public are invited, meaning travelers DO NOT have to be college students. |

Automobile Accidents : Accident west of Cameron injures Nebraska man

A Nebraska truck driver was injured in an accident yesterday (Wednesday) three miles west of Cameron. The Highway Patrol said 30 year old Kenneth Hinds of Columbus, Nebraska was eastbound when his tractor-trailer ran off U-S 36, struck a fence and two utility poles, returned to the highway, crossed the road, and came to a stop in the median. |

Eleven rural hospitals throughout Missouri will soon be able to provide improved tele-medicine care for their patients, thanks to $262,000 in grants from the Mo-Broadband-Now initiative announced today by Governor Jay Nixon.

Announcement was made this afternoon that the city of Trenton has lifted its ban on outdoor burning. This ban had been in effect for the past two months due to extremely dry ground conditions. The Trenton Fire Department reported the burn ban was lifted as of this afternoon. |
