Dr. Anderson is not only an alumna but also a former employee of North Central Missouri College, which was previously known as Trenton Junior College. Her career in community college leadership spans 36 years, including 21 years at NCMC, six years at Casper College in Wyoming, and nine years as the President of State Fair Community College in Sedalia, Missouri. She retired in 2022. During her tenure, Dr. Anderson led significant expansions in infrastructure and educational programs, advocating strongly for SFCC and Missouri’s community colleges. Her achievements include the completion of a $10 million workforce innovation center, a doubling of residence life capacity, expansion of health care and technical training programs across SFCC’s six campuses, and the development of comprehensive strategic and campus facilities master plans. Additionally, she supported the addition of 12 athletic programs and oversaw growth in the college’s budget reserves.

Dr. Anderson’s academic journey began when she graduated in 1976 from what was then known as TJC/NCMC, a college with only one building, Geyer Hall. She later earned a bachelor’s degree in agriculture and a doctorate in education from the University of Missouri in Columbia, and a master’s degree from William Woods University in Fulton. A recipient of numerous accolades, she was recognized as a distinguished alumnus by both the University of Missouri and the Missouri Community College Association in 2009, and by North Central Missouri College in 2013. She currently resides with her husband, Ken, on their farm in rural Grundy County and enjoys spending time with their six grandchildren.
