A road accident on southbound Route-A near High Point Drive, about 4 miles south of Breckenridge, resulted in minor injuries to a woman and a juvenile on April 23, 2024, at around 1:50 p.m.

Shirley M. Perry, 27, of Braymer, Missouri, was driving a 2012 Honda Odyssey when she became distracted by a passenger. The distraction led to her overcorrecting the vehicle, which subsequently traveled off the west side of the roadway. The Honda then crossed over High Point Drive, became airborne, and impacted the ground before coming to rest on its wheels off the right side of the road.

Perry was wearing her seat belt and the one-year-old boy, also from Braymer, was secured in a car seat at the time of the crash. They were transported by Caldwell County Emergency Medical Services to Liberty Hospital for treatment of their minor injuries.

The Honda Odyssey suffered total damage and was towed from the scene by Legacy Tow of Kidder.

The Caldwell County Sheriff’s Department assisted at the scene of the accident.
