Highway 63 crash near Greentop injures 8-year-old child

A two-vehicle collision on Highway 63 near Greentop resulted in moderate injuries for an 8-year-old boy, occurring at approximately 5:00 p.m. on April 18, 2024.

The incident involved a 2000 Toyota RAV4 and a 2008 Chrysler Town and Country van, both traveling northbound when the Toyota struck the Chrysler from behind.

The Toyota was driven by Jaycen C. Bair, 23, of Lancaster, Missouri, and the Chrysler by Patrick A. Darrell, 32, of Unionville, Missouri. Both drivers, who were wearing seat belts, managed to drive their slightly damaged vehicles away from the scene. 

The injured child, a passenger in the Chrysler van, was transported to Northeast Medical Center by Schuyler County Ambulance. He was secured by a seat belt at the time of the accident.

Local sheriff’s deputies and Schuyler County Ambulance responded to the accident.
