Elderly Chillicothe woman injured after car hits embankment on Highway 190

A Chillicothe woman was injured in a single-vehicle accident on Highway 190, approximately five miles west of Chillicothe, on Monday, April 30. The incident occurred at 12:50 p.m., according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Carol A. Paul, 71, was driving eastbound in her 2018 GMC Acadia when she lost control, veered off the north side of the highway, and struck an embankment. The vehicle came to a stop in a field facing northeast.

Paul, who was wearing a seat belt, sustained minor injuries in the crash and was transported by Chillicothe EMS to Hedrick Medical Center for treatment.

The GMC Acadia suffered extensive damage and was towed from the scene by Brotherton’s Towing.

The Livingston County Sheriff’s Department assisted at the scene of the accident.
